'The first steps to recovery' |
|
Paul's story For those longstanding members who have read Focus over the past years, you may remember Paul Tait, although it may prove very difficult to recognise him now! Paul suffered from severe ME since early teens. He was totally bed bound and tube-fed for almost 6 years. Only 6 months ago he was still virtually housebound and required 24 hour care. At Christmas time he rang to tell me he could stand for the first time. He has slowly but surely improved, and can now gently walk around his room unaided. Paul has always maintained a positive and optimistic outlook and although the road to recovery may take some time yet he is planning to take up a computer course and weighing up his career options. What can you say what a STAR. Jennifer Elliott |
