Summer Craft Fayre

'ME Awareness Week 2005'

A review by Rebekah Wilson

Well, The-Walk-In-The-Park was a success, for those of you who couldn’t make it (we know you were with us in sprit!) you missed a good day. The weather was beautiful, nice and sunny, there was a good number of people, but what I loved the most, no! not the array of treats provided by ME North East it was the wonderful stalls. I didn’t know which one to start at, they were all so lovely. I also hadn’t realised there was so many talented people, there were stalls with boxes and tables stocked full with beautiful handmade jewellery, necklaces, earrings, bracelets, it was like heaven!

There were the most amazing handmade cards for all occasions, birthdays, Christmas; you name it they make it. Kudos to Nicola on her delectable handmade cakes and treats, they were mouth-watering just to look at. We also had a very talented artist at the face painting stall, and of course where would we be without our very own tombola stand, we had some fantastic prizes. And for you animal lovers, we had name the tiger, the prize for guessing the correct name (Oscar), well it was your very own toy pet tiger! All in all, it was a laugh, a privilege, and a day I won’t be forgetting too soon.
