Professor Julia Newton to present at the Centre of Life, Newcastle Mini Medical School

Professor Julia Newton is a patron of ME North East and has been working on several studies for CFS/ME from a range of funders, and is presently awaiting a decision from the MRC to undertake further studies of CFS/ME. Many of our members have participated in her research and have heard her speak, most recently at the ME North East Research Conference in September 2007.

At the Centre for Life, Newcastle Mini Medical School, there is to be a series of lectures and debates open to the general public in October and November 2008. Professor Newton will be speaking at the first of 6 sessions on Thursday 9th October 2008 7-9pm. Her topics are 'Fight of Flight or Rest and Digest: The Autonomic Nervous System' and 'Standing up for Fatigue'.
